What is a discus?

The discus is a freshwater fish native to the Amazon basin. It is known for its round shape, bright colors, and calm behavior.

What types of discus are available for sale?

What size should I choose when buying?

  • 5–7 cm: Ideal for raising your own, requires more care.

How to acclimate a discus after receiving it?
Place the discus in the polystyrene box or a clean bucket and drip-water them for at least 45 minutes using water from their future tank. Then carefully transfer the discus to their new environment and discard the transport water.
